THEANLY CHOV | Painter
Theanly was born in the province of Battambang in Cambodia in 1985. He worked in Phnom Penh then moved to Battambang at the end of 2011. His paintings have already been the subject of numerous exhibitions, including several at the Java Art gallery in Phnom Penh (most recent in November 2016).
He has also exhibited in Singapore, France, and the United States. He has exhibited several times with Galerie Lee (Paris). Recently, he was one of the leading artists of two group exhibitions: Phnom Penh at the Musée de l'hospice-comtesse de Lille, France (September 2015-January 2016) and Cambodia: Looking back to the Future at the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich in the United States (May-June 2017).
CHANNY CHHOUEN | Painter
Channy was born in 1988 in the Battambang province of Cambodia. His passion for arts started from his childhood, when he would draw in the dirt with sticks and draw pictures in his school books.
Channy now lives in Siem Reap. He is very happy to share his story and show his work to visitors at his home art studio and gallery.
Passionate about birds and their relationship with humans and the environment, Channy is keen to share the dangers that befall wildlife in our modern world. This is reflected in much of his work.

Phnom Penh-based artist Meas Sokhorn creates bold and arresting work that seems to literally explodebeyond the frame, forcing the viewer to pause and consider the questions that they pose. His paintings and sculptures examine often-overlooked aspects of modern life in Cambodia, challenging viewers to look closer, to find new ways to look at things.

A graduate of the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, has a growing reputation for her distinct aesthetic and ongoing thematic exploration of Cambodian society. Through composed portraiture staged collaboratively with her subjects, Sophal’s artwork often challenges social structures, illuminating the hidden memories and fear that animate people’s lives and identities.
Active locally and internationally, Sophal has participated in workshops and group and solo exhibitions in France, Sweden, the United States, Japan, and Australia, as well as at Angkor Photo Festival (Cambodia), Spot Art (Singapore), Hong Kong International Photo Festival, Bangkok Photo Festival, Asian Eye Culture (Thailand), Voice of Tacitness Exhibition (China), Our City Festival (Cambodia), SurVivArt (Germany), and Photo Phnom Penh Festival (Cambodia).
MORN CHEAR | PRINTMAKER
Chear is a successful, multitalented visual and performing artist. He is an accomplished contemporary dancer, singer and visual artist proficient in illustration, painting, drawing, and printmaking. His work often depicts scenes from his everyday life before and after an electrical shock accident cost him both of his arms in his early 20s. He is a graduate of Epic Arts program and a former professional contemporary dancer. He and his wife relocated in 2019 to Siem Reap where he is pursuing his art career through Open Studio Cambodia.
KANHA HUL | MULTIMEDIA
Kanha was born in a rural area in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, and is currently a resident artist at Open Studio Cambodia in Siem Reap city. Kanha feels art is essential to her soul as a mode of self-expression and is deeply connected to her daily artistic practice. Her multidisciplinary artwork mainly incorporates photography and performance art with painting, paper cutting, and stencil techniques. Thematically, her work often highlights the role of women in society, questions society's deeply held beliefs, and celebrates the women in her life.
Kanha is the recipient of the Treeline Urban Resort Artist Grant (2020), and has been an invited speaker and art instructor by the United Nations Women i4i Conference (2020) and NOMADIX Arts Festival (2020). Kanha has participated in group exhibitions throughout Cambodia as well as Galerie Lee in Paris (2020) and Artxchange Gallery in Seattle, USA (2020).
